In the year 2002 URBAS Energietechnik constructed a biomass energy plant consisting of two boilers with 3 MW capacity each in Laa/Thaya.
After 24 years in operation one of the boilers is now being replaced by a state-of-the-art URBAS boiler system. In addition, URBAS Energietechnik will retrofit the boiler with a flue gas condensation and an e-filter. This will bring the existing plant up to the latest technological standards and improve significantly the overall economic and environmental performance.
This way, URBAS is ensuring the environmentally friendly heat supply for Laa/Thaya for the next decades.
