URBAS Energietechnik has been commissioned by the renowned Finnish wood industry company PÖLKKY OY to construct a new heating plant at its site in Kajaani.
PÖLKKY OY, a member of the wood industry group PFEIFER-GROUP, already operates two URBAS heating plants at its sites in Kuusamo and Taivalkoski and can therefore draw on two decades of positive operational experience.
For the expansion of the energy supply at the site in Kajaani URBAS will deliver a 17 MW hot water plant for the thermal utilization of biomass production residues. The scope of supply also includes the construction of the boiler house plus internal piping on a turnkey basis. URBAS is PÖLKKY OY’s one-stop-shop partner.
