For 18 years Hasslacher has been producing heat and electricity at the Sachsenburg site with a URBAS biomass cogeneration plant.
After a URBAS power plant (output 20.6 MWth and 5.0 MWel) had been ordered in September 2020, the contract for the delivery of another power plant for the Sachsenburg site was signed in May.
The new Sachsenburg plant will be designed for an output of 25.9 MWth and 6.9 MWel.
